Laurie Morris

Chapel Administrator

Laurie joined the staff of St. Alban's in May of 2005. She was born here in Baton Rouge and grew up in Livingston, Louisiana.  Laurie graduated from Spencer Business College, Baton Rouge in 1989.

Laurie now resides at her camp on the Tickfaw River in Killian, LA with her husband Jim and her dog Mitzi.  When she’s not working, she enjoys boating on the river and Lake Maurepas, attending LSU sporting events, fishing, reading and spending time with family and friends.  Laurie believes that being the eighth child in a family of nine helped prepare her for church life.  To her, St. Alban's is just a really large family, and she can't imagine being anyplace else!

Laurie is an avid sports fan who can usually be persuaded to take a break from her duties to talk sports. She also believes it’s her mission in life to make everyone cheer for her favorite team the LSU Tigers!

Evan McMichael

Chapel Resident

I have lived my entire life in Blanchard, Louisiana and went to Northwood High School.  At LSU, I am a senior in Political Science and I plan to attend law school upon graduation. When I can find the time to relax from school work, I enjoy fishing, music, being with my friends, and occasionally LSU football.  I am a cradle Episcopalian and throughout high school I was very active at my home church of St. Matthias in Shreveport.  Naturally, when I came to Baton Rouge I fit right into the St. Alban’s community and found a home here immediately. I think our church is a wonderful place full of wonderful people and can be a home for anyone.

Cassie Schmitt

Music Director

Cassie is a doctoral candidate in Choral Conducting at LSU.

Noelle Allison

Children's Ministry Director

Noelle Allison is a recent transplant to Baton Rouge--her husband, Jesse, is a professor of Experimental Music at LSU. They still claim to be from Washington State (where they grew up, met, & married) but most of their married life has been spent sojurning in the Midwest (specifically, Missouri and Indiana). They have four energetic daughters--Gwen, Addy, Pippin, and Idgie--and Noelle's primary occupation is keeping them fed and clothed. When she is not parenting (and sometimes when she is!) Noelle enjoys knitting, biking, reading, baking, woodworking, and finding eggs in the chicken coop. Noelle has been a church musician of some sort for the past 18 years. Much of that time was spent behind a piano or organ, but she also likes to sing in the choir when she gets a chance. Over the years she has directed VBS music programs, organized special music with youth, and put on a few Christmas pageants (and in one notable case, a full musical). She loves the creative process of working with youth, their readiness to try new things, and the often staggering insight they have into things of God.
